We begin our sessions from the 14th September 2018
Funky Fingers is a group for from 0—2 years, run by the specialist Centre for Deaf Children at James Wolfe Primary School.
Funky Fingers is a play space for babies to stay and play with our killed signing staff, alongside the group we run a BSL session for parents and families in a nearby room. At the end of the session parents and carers come back and end the baby session together with a signed song.
Every week we will have:
· Songs in Sign sessions for your baby
· Tea, Coffee and Cake - a chance for a chat!
· Access to Deaf and hearing role models
· Games and toys for all ages
· Outdoor play
· Learn some sign to help early communication
· If you are already a proficient signer please come along and play instead!
This group is open to any family who would like to come and learn some signs - if your child is deaf/Hearing impaired and you need any help or advice we also have a set of skilled staff on hand if you have any questions related to language development, hearing aids and assistive equipment. Please ask and we’ll help in any way we can.
We look forward to seeing you!
