Welcome to James Wolfe Primary School with Centre for the Deaf. Our school is located in the centre of the Royal Borough of Greenwich, only a short distance from the Cutty Sark and the National Maritime Museum.
Since opening a second site in September 2014 to meet the demands of expanding to a four form primary school, our older children in Years 4, 5 and 6 are educated at our Royal Hill Campus. In addition to the school's 'PROUD' values (perseverance, respect, opportunity, understanding and democracy), at Royal Hill we aim to equip children with the requisite skills for both their long-term and immediate futures; notably transition to secondary school. In their years based at our Royal Hill Campus, we aim to combine the best of primary and secondary provisions to ensure that our pupils are well-prepared academically, socially and emotionally for the next steps in their education. Originally opened in 1896, the building has been an educational institution in many guises, most recently temporarily hosting John Roan secondary school whilst their Maze Hill site was under refurbishment.
