Football Physicality

The learning below shows pupils development in exploring space, movement and balls skills

Physical Foundations - KS1

Year 1 pupils have been learning the fundamentals of physical education. They have been working on improving their movements through running, jumping and balancing whilst also improving their ball skills through throwing and catching.  Upwards into year two, this is being furthered by pupils working on target games where they have been rolling and throwing towards a target.

Football Fundamentals - LKS1

Year 3 pupils have been developing their football skills. In particular their ability to dribble using close control and both feet as well as passing the ball between one another. As pupils move towards year 4 this is progressed by passing and moving in order to find space and to create opportunities for others.  All pupils have also been learning to develop their communication whilst playing.

Football Focus - UKS2

Pupils in UKS2 have also been working on their football skills including passing and dribbling.  Pupils have been using and applying these skills in game/match situations enabling them to practise and enhance their skills further.
