If You’re Happy and You Know It - EYFS
Nursery have successfully made cross-curricular links by learning the French version of “If You’re Happy and You Know It.” As this song features within the English Reading Spine, students were already highly familiar with it in English, making it an ideal and meaningful choice for introducing the French version. Français to Español - LKS1
During the previous term, Year 3 built on their growing knowledge of French vocabulary to develop their confidence in both speaking and writing. Lessons followed a clear and supportive sequence, allowing every child to take part and build on what they already knew. The children began by practising spoken conversations with partners on the carpet before moving on to group activities that focused on vocabulary building and discussion. This approach helped them feel confident when moving from single words to full sentences in their written work. This term, the children are looking forward to starting their new language—Spanish!
